The 79 minute long mixtape is a selection of finest Afropop hits, which have their roots in the genre of Afrobeat, created in Nigeria in the late 60s by the one and only Fela Kuti.
This new sound conveys the up-tempo African vibe and appeals to young vibrant Afropolitan minds. The ensuing music, which is an amalgamation of traditional African rhythms and popular African influences, also contains a 21st-century fusion of western rap that have become wildly popular in the international pop scene.
Artists like Drake, Ed Sheeran and many more have embraced the Afropop genre, that has definitely arrived and is here to stay.
